Air France has announced new menus for its long-haul passengers flying out of Paris this summer.

Michelin-starred chefs Régis Marcon and Thierry Marx, along with pastry chef Philippe Urraca, will create the dishes for the airline's customers in Business and La Première cabins. The new menus will be offered from JUL to OCT 2023.

The chefs are collaborating with in-flight catering company, Servair, to create the dishes using fresh, local produce. The meat, poultry, dairy products and eggs on each menu are sourced in France, and the fish comes from sustainable fisheries, Air France said in a release.

Additionally, vegetarian options will be available in all travel cabins on Air France flights.

Marx, a Parisian-born chef with two Michelin stars, has created unique dishes for Air France Business cabin customers that are inspired by the diversity of France's culinary heritage, a release said.

Over the next four months, Air France will offer eight dishes created by Marx in the Business cabin that focus on plant-based ingredients in a flexitarian approach.

"Just like travelling, cuisine brings people together. These are values that I share with Air France for its customers’ pleasure,” said Thierry Marx.

Air France is also offering its Business cabin customers the option of pre-selecting their hot dish up to 24 hours before the flight as part of their commitment to reducing food waste and ensuring availability of the customer's choice.

In the La Première cabin, Marcon, a triple Michelin-starred chef, has crafted eight dishes inspired by nature and the Ardèche and Auvergne regions.

As for dessert, Meilleur Ouvrier de France pastry chef Urraca has created four desserts for the à la carte menu, which will be available on a rotating basis.

In 2023, Air France will collaborate with a total of seventeen chefs to promote French cuisine.
