From multi-gen family trips and friends getaways, to cooking groups and sports groups, everyone is looking for that in-person connection. But the concept of the multi-generational group has extended into social affinity groups.

“Groups are encompassing more than weddings these days.” explains Ashley Gibbs, Senior Manager Business Development, Hilton All-Inclusive. “The amount of different social groups, like a 40th birthday party, that we see going down to the destinations has become increasingly popular. People are replacing tangible things with experiences. They want to travel, and they want to travel in larger numbers. The opportunities are endless!”

Erminia Gallina, General Manager of Air Canada Vacations, praises the impact of their new Insta-Quote group tool, stating it has been immensely helpful for both retailers and the operator. According to her, creating and managing group quotes is now simpler than ever.

The Insta-Quote is specifically crafted to enhance efficiency and save time for agents. It provides real-time instant quotes, allows for up to three itineraries and room categories per hotel, and includes a direct link to comprehensive resort information. Additionally, agents can generate client-friendly PDFs featuring personalized details, agency logos, and price adjustments.

Hilton All-Inclusive contracted groups require a minimum of 10 rooms for a 3-night stay, and securing the group is made with a low deposit of $150 per room. Additionally, they offer a flexible group option, allowing rooms to be booked in the traditional FIT manner. Rooming lists are required 45 days before travel on FIT groups, and once verified, standard comps will be granted.

Regardless of whether a group opts for a contracted or flex group, the opportunity to earn up to 5 complimentary rooms is extended. For reservations made between January 7 and April 17, 2024, groups can enjoy 1 complimentary room for every 12 rooms booked. From April 18 to December 21, 2024, 1 complimentary room is offered for every 7 paid rooms, with some blackout dates applying to this exceptional offer.
