There's something very special about your first cruise. Open Jaw's Lynn Elmhirst was thrilled to be travelling with Chris Jones, Director of Marketing for Globus Family of Brands, Canada, as he sailed on his very first river cruise.
Mid-way through the delights of the Rhone river and the south of France, the Avalon Poetry II docked alongside the Papal Palace in Avignon, France, and Lynn caught up with Chris to talk on camera about his first impressions of river cruising, about Canadians returning to Europe and the GFoB's new marketing campaign "Now is Our Time", and about the inauguration of Active & Discovery included shore excursions on the Rhone river itinerary.
They also discussed opportunities for travel advisors to help their clients return to Europe in the coming months, with lots of inspirations for clients to cash in their cancelled cruise credits: Christmas market cruises, next spring's Tulip Time, and once-a-decade events like Floriade and Oberammergau also making 2022 a can't-miss year to make the trip and return to - or discover for the first time - the magic of river cruising in Europe.
