Porter Achieves APEX Four Star Major Airline Rating

Porter Airlines has been rated a 2025 Four-Star Major Airline by passengers, certified by the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX).

The APEX Five Star and Four Star Airlines Awards are the only global awards based entirely on neutral, third-party passenger feedback. They are a result of passenger ratings of almost one million flights across nearly 600 airlines around the world, certified by APEX in partnership with TripIt® from Concur®.

“Receiving this rating is further validation that our distinct approach to service is resonating with more passengers as we continue expanding across North America,” said Kevin Jackson, president, Porter Airlines. “With no middle seat on any flight, complimentary premium snacks, fresh and healthy meal options, free beer and wine served in glassware, and free, fast WiFi on the E195-E2, we strive to provide all travellers with the elevated economy experience they deserve.”

This year, Porter was also awarded USA Today’s Readers’ Choice Awards for Best Economy Class, Skytrax World Airlines’ North America’s Best Regional Airline, Baxter Media’s Favourite Airline - Economy Class Service, and PAX International’s Most Improved Airline in North America.

Since receiving the APEX Four Star Regional Airline rating, as well as the APEX Passengers’ Choice for Best North American Cabin Service in 2023, Porter has grown its fleet to 42 Embraer E195-E2 jets and 29 De Havilland Dash 8-400s, and continues to challenge the way passengers experience economy air travel. The airline now flies to every province in Canada, and is quickly growing throughout the U.S., including destinations in Florida, California, Arizona and Nevada.
