TICO Launches New Registrant Toolkit with Webinar 26APR

The Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO) has launched a new digital Registrant Toolkit aimed to provide Ontario’s travel agents, agencies, websites and tour operators with shareable resources that "speak to the value of booking with a TICO-registered business." According to TICO, a recent survey of Ontario consumers found that 82 per cent of respondents think it’s important that the travel agency or website they are booking with is regulated.

“Enhancing consumer confidence will be a critical way for the travel industry recovery to move forward,” said TICO President and CEO Richard Smart. “The shareable resources in the Registrant Toolkit speak to the knowledge, professionalism, experience and support that come with booking with a TICO-registered business and the added peace-of-mind for consumers, especially during this recovery period.”

About the Registrant Toolkit

TICO’s Registrant Toolkit is an online resource where travel agents, agencies, websites and tour operators can download or share:

  • Consumer protection overview PDF in 16 languages
  • Logos
  • Social media posts
  • Blog posts
  • Video

According to TICO, the resources provided are free and shareable through email, printed copies, on company web sites or social media accounts. To reflect Ontario’s diversity, the All-in-One Travel Companion PDF download is available in 16 languages and can be attached to client emails or printed off for in-person sales.

TICO is hosting a lunch-and-learn webinar on 26APR 2022, from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. EST to demo the Registrant Toolkit and answer any questions. To register, click here.
