Bahia Principe Returns to Full Operations in Mexico and Jamaica

Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts has announced a full return to operations in Mexico and Jamaica with the reopening of the Bahia Principe Luxury Sian Ka'an this month. With the reopening, Bahia Principe has resumed operations at all six of its properties in both countries for a total of 4,000 rooms.

The Bahia Principe Luxury Sian Ka'an sits within the Mayan jungle, surrounded by a luxury residential development and nearby the PGA Riviera Maya Golf Club. As it belongs to Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts’ luxury collection, guests can access nearby establishments with more than 20 themed bars and restaurants, shop at La Hacienda Doña Isabel, or play golf on the course designed by Robert Trent Jones II, among others. The 420-room resort offers guests an adults-only experience.

“The reopening of Bahia Principe Luxury Sian Ka'an is great news, as it completes the reactivation of the four hotels we have in Mexico, one of our core locations,” said Antonio Teijeiro, COO of Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts.

“This destination performed very well throughout 2020 and 2021, especially for the American and domestic markets. We know guests have been eager to return and our staff is ready to provide the best service and experience from booking to check-out.”

Bahia Principe' properties in Mexico include: Bahia Principe Luxury Akumal, Bahia Principe Grand Coba, Bahia Principe Grand Tulum and Bahia Principe Luxury Sian Ka’an. Meanwhile, properties in Jamaica include: Bahia Principe Grand Jamaica, Bahia Principe Luxury Runaway Bay.

Having opened in 2007, Bahia Principe Grand Jamaica and Bahia Principe Luxury Runaway Bay make up the hotelier’s Jamaican properties, which encapsulates a total of 1,375 rooms for guests to reside, a water park, seven swimming pools and 11 dining options.
