AmaWaterways Adds Second Seven River Journey

Seven River Journey

AmaWaterways announced (13APR) that it is launching a second Seven River Journey in the spring of 2023. The company noted that this launch is due to an overwhelming response and growing waitlist after the release of the first Seven River Journey in FEB.

The new 45-night curated itinerary offers guests extra time to discover the springtime floral splendor of Netherlands and Belgium along with the opportunity to experience the AmaMagna sailing the upper and lower Danube during the final two weeks of the trip. Sailing on three ships, the Seven River Journey – Spring will take guests through 14 countries. The ship departs on 20APR, 2023 from Avignon, France and ends on 04JUN, 2023 Giurgiu, Romania.

“Our first Seven River Journey – Summer received such a positive response that I am overjoyed to provide our guests yet another incredible extended journey designed to fully immerse them in European culture and create memories that will last a lifetime,” said Kristin Karst, executive vice president and co-founder of AmaWaterways.

“Having one Cruise Manager take care of guests throughout this entire journey ensures a seamless transition from one ship to the other and we have many unique experiences and onboard amenities planned to further enhance the immersive nature of this 45-night journey.”

The spring journey through Europe will set sail from Avignon, France cruising the Rhône River to Lyon. Guests will then be transferred over to Basel, Switzerland where AmaCerto awaits to explore the Dutch Waterways (Scheldt and Maas rivers) before venturing through the Rhine and along Moselle, Main and Main Danube Canal. Upon arrival in Vilshofen, Germany, guests will embark onboard AmaMagna, sailing along the upper and lower Danube.

With the growing interest in less-traveled destinations, AmaWaterways noted that the company is thrilled to be showcasing the lower Danube, which will take guests through Bulgaria and Romania.
