YOW Terminates Sunwing, Flair Ground Crews

Saying in a release, “The service levels passengers from (Sunwing and Flair Airlines) have had to endure do not meet the customer experience threshold the OIAA is committed to facilitate," YOW officials gave 30 days’ notice on 15MAR that the ground services provider used by both airlines would no longer be permitted to operate in the airport, CBC reports.

YOW said ground marshalling and baggage handling services provided by Menzies had become worse in recent weeks, and had "reached untenable levels in the past week” - just as March Break got underway.

It told CBC it was up to Sunwing and Flair to find a new subcontractor to provide those services.
