Why New York Is Tweaking Iconic Tourism Slogan From ‘I’ to ‘We’

New York City is launching a new ad campaign meant to appeal to tourists in a more skeptical marketing environment. The city is making a slight adjustment to its famous slogan, which will now be "We Love NYC". The city is looking to re-engage New Yorkers in their city, where most residents say they feel negatively over the direction of their city. Among the top concerns are affordability and public safety.

The marketing campaign is meant to bring people back together and revive civic engagement. But so far, the new slogan has been met with mixed reviews from New Yorkers.
