Dead of the Dead, typically celebrated between 31OCT to 02NOV in Mexico, has a lot of fans, and Mexico News Daily has listed a few places to see the festivities.
Mexico City is recommended as guests can find “celebrations in abundance in the nation’s capital.” Honourings for deceased loved ones can be found “everywhere” in the city, ranging from more traditional altars by local markets, to massive displays on the streets. Other recommendations include Mexico City’s cemeteries, which are located at the edges of the city, including Mixquic, which is the most “famous” for Day of the Dead.
Due to its distance, Mexico News Daily suggests the San Fernando or Dolores cemeteries, which hold the resting places of many of Mexico’s historic figures. Mexico City’s Day of the Dead “season” kicks off with the annual Alebrije Parade and the Mega Catrina Procession around a week before 02NOV.CLICK HERE FOR FULL STORY
