Visit Portugal has launched a new digital platform which focuses on the country’s wine industry, aiming to position the country as a wine tourism destination. The new campaign, titled ‘Portugal Pairs with Wine,’ aims to boost awareness of the country’s wine sector, attract visitors to rural areas in Portugal year-round and build bridges between the different economic sectors. The digital platform means visitors can access history of winemaking in Portugal through numerous wine pairing tourism experiences throughout the country. The platform will also host information on events, local tips and information about each region.
