U.S. to Require Vaccines for Essential Land Border Crossers in JAN 2022

The U.S. will require essential Canadian travellers crossing U.S. land borders to be fully vaccinated as of 22JAN 2022, including truck drivers, government and emergency response officials. The new announcement is in line with those that took effect on 08NOV, which required vaccination for non-essential/leisure travellers. Essential travellers entering by ferry will also be required to be fully vaccinated by the same date, a senior U.S. official said.
