The U.K. is marking Queen Elizabeth’s 70 years of service on the throne with four days of celebrations which begin 02JUN, including military parades, church services, street parties, and even a pop concert outside Buckingham Palace.
The CBC has compiled a photo gallery of notable celebrations happening ahead of the long weekend, including Union Jacks lining the The Mall looking toward Buckingham Palace and the Queen Victoria Memorial statue, painting exhibits dedicated to the Queen at Sotheby’s in London, and a a display of more than 4,300 handmade knitted and crocheted flowers All Saints Church in Middleton Cheney, Britain, among others.
