TUI CEO Sees More Premium and Shorter Notice Bookings

German-British, vertically-integrated operator TUI saw 1.3 million bookings over the last month, said CEO Fritz Joussen in a letter to staff. In MAR, the company reported 8.9 million bookings from winter 2021/2022 to summer 2022, reports Skift. “Two trends are obvious: bookings are becoming considerably more premium and they are being made at a considerably shorter notice,” Joussen observed from the bookings. “This is good for turnover, margins and profitability.” TUI previously said summer holiday booking numbers were approaching pre-pandemic levels due to pent up demand.
