Many travel companies are turning to video-sharing app TikTok to build brand awareness and attract new customers, reports PhocusWire. TikTok has reportedly been the most downloaded app for two years in a row, with a video format that allows travel companies to showcase their brand personality while engaging with new audiences.
Carnival Cruise Line says the company creates videos to introduce new audiences to cruising and Carnival, with popular videos including those onboard in real time. Booking.com launched a TikTok campaign where the company was giving away seven trips in an effort to inspire people to travel and create “positive brand interactions.” According to Booking.com’s director of social media, the travel tag on TikTok has more than 90 billion views.
