As vaccine mandates for domestic air and rail travel and outbound international air travel lift on 20JUN, Transport Minister Omar Alghabra says the decision to ease restrictions was “not related to the delays at airports,” reports the CBC. The suspension of the mandate also applies to federal workers and transportation employees. Alghabra told CBC chief political correspondent Rosemary Barton that the decision to suspend the mandate was the result of “an extended process” to determine whether the measures could be “safely removed” based on evidence around vaccination and transmission.
