Between DEC 2021 and FEB 2022, the Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO)’s Board of Directors approved 82 claims against the Ontario Travel Compensation Fund, paying out a total of CAD $134,324.99 to 149 consumers who did not receive the travel services for which they had paid. On 22FEB 2022, TICO approved 39 of those claims for a total of CAD $68,281.24 to assist 66 consumers. On 16DEC, TICO approved 43 claims for CAD $66,043.75 to 83 consumers. In addition, TICO denied 3 claims for 23 consumers for a total of CAD $15,405.
