Sofitel has opened its first beach hotel, Sofitel Baru Calablanca Beach Resort, which joins the existing Sofitel Legend Santa Clara as the brand’s second property in Cartagena, Colombia. The 187-unit property is set on the island of Baru off the coast of Cartagena, with culinary concepts including the Calablanca Restaurant and Bar, the Bahia and La Plage beach eateries; the dinner-only Humo restaurant; a lobby lounge; a rooftop terrace bar called La Pergola; and three poolside bars, reports Caribbean Journal. Sofitel also offers catamaran transfers for guests at the Sofitel Legend.
