Sandals Opening Helps Curaçao Break Tourism Record

In the first month after the opening of the new Sandals Royal Curaçao, the destination has broken its all-time record for visitors in a single month. JUN 2022 saw 37,541 visitors to Curaçao. Of those, 9,584 were from the U.S., the most U.S. travellers to the island in a single month in its history, reports Caribbean Journal. According to the Curaçao Hotel and Tourism Association, the JUN numbers have helped the destination recover 96 per cent of its tourist arrivals from before the pandemic.
