North American Airlines Boost On-Time Performance Again in OCT

Average North American airline on-time performance in OCT continued to improve, reaching 79.5 percent, up two percentage points from SEP, according to Cirium's monthly report.

The industry standard for a flight to be considered on time is if the aircraft arrives at the gate within 15 minutes of the scheduled arrival time.

As in SEP, all three of the largest U.S. carriers made the global list of on-time airlines with Delta third, United Airlines (87.3 per cent) fifth and American Airlines (83.1 per cent) ninth.
Business Travel News reports that Air Canada’s 66.5 per cent on time rate in OCT lands it in tenth place on this list.
