New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern announced 11MAY that the opening date for visa-required travellers to enter the country is being brought forward two months to 31JUL 2022. The country will also be dropping pre-departure testing requirements as well as opening its maritime border on the same day, reports KARRYON.
With the new announcement, cruise lines can begin confirming port calls and preparing ships for a 2022-2023 cruising season. As a “visa waiver” country, Canadians were permitted to enter New Zealand as of 13MAR.
