New Alaska Cruise Port Scheduled To Open Next Year

A new cruise port is being built near Klawock, Alaska, located west of Ketchikan on the state’s Prince of Wales Island. With the construction of the new port, the town of Klawock, home to native Tlingit people, hopes to create tour programs which will build a tourism economy for the region. According to Cruise Radio, attractions will embrace the town’s totem carving traditions, local wildlife, and the fishing industry. The first cruise line scheduled to visit the port is Oceania Cruises which has a call scheduled for 24MAY 2023.
