Norwegian Cruise Line’s European program will see nine ships in 2022 as Norwegian Sun has been redeployed from Asia to the Canary Islands, reports Seatrade Cruise News.
“Due to challenging and developing regulations regarding international travel and cruising in Asia, we have made the difficult decision to reposition Norwegian Sun from Asia to Europe to offer round-trip voyages to the Canary Islands,” an NCL spokesperson said on 24MAY. All sailings aboard Norwegian Sun from 11OCT 2022 through 25APR 2023 have been cancelled.
NCL President and CEO Harry Sommer said having nine ships in Europe will be the cruise line’s most extensive lineup in the region with more than 100 ports of call.
