According to a new J.D. Power survey published on 11MAY, packed planes and expensive airfare brought customer satisfaction with North American airlines down over the past year – for the first time in a decade, reports CNBC.
Customer satisfaction dropped among travellers across all ticket classes, according to the survey, based on 7,004 passengers from MAR 2021 to MAR 2022, the first year-over-year decline since 2012.
For First/Business class, JetBlue topped customer satisfaction rankings with a score of 878 out of 1,000, while Air Canada (832) ranked fourth. For Economy/Basic Economy classes, Southwest (849) took first, while Air Canada (777) and WestJet (751) came in sixth and eleventh, respectively.
