WDW is rolling out the newest version of its wearable technology, MagicBand, 27JUL. MagicBand+ will include existing features, including access to theme parks, hotel rooms, Lightning Lane entry, PhotoPass services, and folio charging privileges, plus some new ones.
Available in over two dozen designs at launch, the MagicBand+ is focused on interactivity. Guests at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios can join the ‘Batuu Bounty Hunters’ Guild’ and follow light and ‘haptics’ via their MagicBand+ to find hidden ‘virtual bounties.’ MagicBand+ will pair with guests’ smartphones using the existing My Disney Experience app.
