An agreement signed on 05DEC between Venice Ro-Port Mos and Venezia Terminal Passeggeri (VTP) will permit cruise ships to dock and homeport at Fusina on the mainland across the Venice Lagoon.
The deal, effective from summer 2023 to 2026, is part of an effort to find new landing areas in Venice Lagoon for large cruise ships after their ban in AUG 2021 from Giudecca Canal, reports SeaTrade Cruise News.
Venice Ro-Port Mos will provide two quays and an area for processing passengers and build a dedicated access road to the terminal for cruisers.
