International visitors to Mexico soared in the first three months this year, with more than 5 million international air arrivals into the country. That’s an increase of 138.5 per cent compared to the same period in 2021, and just 7 per cent under overall pre-pandemic numbers in Q1 of 2019.
Mexico News Daily reports that 77 per cent of Q1 arrivals were from Canada, the U.S., or Colombia. 511,000 were Canadian, a 1,446 per cent increase in the number of Canadians who visited compared to the same period in 2021. However, that’s only half the number of Canadians who travelled to Mexico in Q1 of 2019, before the pandemic.CLICK HERE FOR FULL STORY
