While acknowledging the current “technical challenges” facing the airline industry, International Air Transport Association (IATA) Director General Willie Walsh says these disruptions are only limited to specific regions; adding that the current challenges are incomparable to those of the last two years during the pandemic, reports Simple Flying. Walsh rated issues such as overwhelmed airports, long lines, rising ticket and fuel prices, and labour shortages as a “three or four out of ten,” rather than “9 out of 10” that some airlines were reporting, and called them “business as usual” issues.
