Hilton Relies on a Former FBI Agent to Keep Its Hotels Out of Harm’s Way

To keep its properties safe, Hilton relies on John Giacalone, a former FBI agent with 25 years of experience, much of it spent working under Robert Mueller, the Bureau’s former director. Giacalone joined Hilton in 2016 and_ performs safety related tasks such as deploying response teams to assist hotels during hurricane season to preparing staff for potential threats that could arise from major events and terrorist attacks. Part of Hilton’s security system is the Visual Command Center, a dynamic map detailing all of Hilton’s properties and the accompanying risks, such as environmental threats, crime, terrorism, and more.
