Global Hotel Bookings Exceed Pre-COVID Levels

According to quarterly data from booking technology data company HotelHub, European hotel bookings in JUN 2022 reached 108 per cent of 2019 levels, and a 28 per cent increase from APR 2022. The share of international hotel bookings in Europe made up 41 per cent of all transactions by the end of JUN 2022, down only 3 per cent from JUN 2019.

Globally, HotelHub’s data for Q2 2022 showed that JUN hotel bookings were up to 120 per cent of JUN 2019 levels.

The company also saw that the growth of international business travel from Europe has also “continued steadily” back to pre-pandemic levels.
