Flair Airlines has stopped YKF to YUL flights “for the time being” and is refunding tickets already booked, reports the Star. The airline did not provide a reason for cancelling the route and its web site currently shows no flights between the two cities until late MAR 2023.
In a statement, Flair said it is committed to the Waterloo region, which provided the carrier with more than CAD $300,000 in subsidies and has tied a CAD $35-million terminal expansion to the airline. Flair also said it still intends to base a third aircraft at YKF this spring, a decision it announced in FEB 2022 and then delayed, citing delivery delays from Boeing.
