The Canadian Transportation Agency (CTA) says the number of air travel complaints rose over the year from 31MAR 2021 to 31MAR 2022 but admits some of the increase of numbers reflects unprocessed complaints. As reported by CP24, the CTA saw 28,673 complaints in that time period, up from 26,742 over the previous year ending 31MAR 2021. The new total includes 12,158 new complaints plus the carry-over of 16,515 reports from the prior year (31MAR 2020 – 31MAR 2021).
According to the CTA, flight disruptions were the biggest issue for Canadians, followed by ticketing and then reservation issues. The CTA says it has processed 15,264 complaints so far.
