According to a study done by Cruise.co.uk, ship-based holidays are becoming more popular with a younger demographic.
Part of the demographics skewing younger is due to an increase in family cruise travel, with under-20s guests accounting for 8 per cent of all 2022 cruise travellers as compared to 6 per cent in 2019.
Travel Weekly UK reports that adult cruise fans under the age of 60 have also seen a boost, from 37 per cent in 2019 to 44 per cent in 2022.
Credited for the increase in the younger demographic are amenities targeted towards a younger audience such as kids’ clubs, adrenaline-stimulating activities and offerings like tattoo parlours.
