COVID Vaccine Booster Shot Requirement Urged for European Travel

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis proposed on 24NOV that the EU should require a COVID-19 booster shot for Europeans travelling across the bloc as it faces a resurgence in infections. In a letter to the head of the European Commission, Mitsotakis proposed that the third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine be considered as a condition of safe travel within the European Union for European citizens over 60 years old. In addition, he said that this requirement should be reflected in the European digital certificate, the proof of vaccination used in the EU.
