Chile, Fiji, and South Africa are all ready to welcome tourists back. Chile will start welcoming international travellers on 01OCT, and visitors must present a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours prior to boarding, and travel medical insurance with a minimum coverage of USD $30,000. Travellers to Chile must also register on the national C19 website and get a "mobility pass," the country’s version of a vaccine passport where one can upload their health information. Fiji has announced that it will begin reopening to tourists from around the world when it hits an 80% vaccination rate, which means either NOV or DEC of 2021. South Africa is also slowly loosening its restrictions, with its gathering sizes increased to 500 and curfew moved from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. The country’s national air carrier, South African Airways, will also resume flights on 23SEP after 16 months of paused operations.
