Air Canada Suspending Flights Between YYC and YXE/YQR

Air Canada will no longer offer flights between YYC and Saskatchewan’s two main airports – YXE and YQR, starting in mid-JAN.

CTV News reports the move isn’t sitting well with travellers and travel agencies who say pax will now have extended travel times due to indirect alternatives.

Although Air Canada attributes the move to its strategic commitment to rebuilding its hubs of YYZ, YVR and YUL, the airline says those routes could be added back based on a review of opportunities in the future.
