Canadian travel to Los Cabos surged 12.2% in the first two months of 2025 over the same period a year ago. That double-digit uptick makes Canada the fastest-growing international market for the destination at the southernmost tip of Mexico's Baja Peninsula, according to the Los Cabos Tourism Observatory.
Now representing 12.4% of total visitors, Canada has solidified its spot as the region’s No. 2 international source market behind only the US, driven by service from major hubs Toronto, Vancouver and Calgary. It's also been getting a growing lift from secondary markets like Kelowna and Victoria.
Flight occupancy from Canada hit 90% this winter, with demand rising for wellness, culinary, and luxury travel.
"Canadian travellers are seeking more meaningful experiences, places where they feel safe, welcomed, and inspired,” says Rodrigo Esponda, Managing Director of the Los Cabos Tourism Board. "Los Cabos delivers that balance of exclusivity and authenticity. It's a destination that invites travellers to slow down, connect with nature, and rediscover themselves far from the crowds and complications of traditional sun spots.”
The region continues to benefit from expanded connectivity, advance bookings and increased interest in its high-end offerings.
