Visit Britain's 'Destination Britain' three-day tradeshow is heading to San Francisco 07-10SEP. Led by chairman Nick de Bois, around 70 industry suppliers are poised to demonstrate why Britain is a must-visit destination, with more than 2,500 one-to-one business appointments set to take place.
During the San Francisco event, North American travel professionals will connect with British tourism providers to explore the latest offerings from Britain's tourism industry. This includes hotels, attractions, tour operators, and representatives from the UK's regions and nations.
Visit Britain chairman Nick de Bois CBE said: “North America is driving tourism’s recovery in the UK and this is a timely opportunity for British travel suppliers and destinations to get their tourism products and services in front of top buyers and do business, boosting bookings.
"It is also a valuable chance to promote our messages of warm welcome and to hear first-hand from buyers on the motivations and trends driving outbound travel from North America," he added.
In 2022, Canadian spending on travel in the U.K. reached a record of £934 million (CAD $1.4 billion), up 27% from 2019. This growth has persisted into 2023, with flight bookings from North America to the U.K. currently 15% higher than in 2019.
