Baha Mar Launches Bahamas Culinary and Arts Festival

Luxury resort Baha Mar has announced the launch of The Bahamas Culinary & Arts Festival to be held from 21-23OCT 2022 in Nassau. The three-day food and culture festival will feature notable chefs, such as Marcus Samuelsson of Marcus at Baha Mar Fish + Chop House, Daniel Boulud of Café Boulud and Dario Cecchini of Carna. They will be joined by TV personality Amanda Freitag, author and restauranteur Carla Hall and chef Simeon Hall Jr., Bahamian culinary artisan and event curator.

The festival kicks off with a welcome party on 21OCT, hosted by Samuelsson. Throughout the weekend, guests can enjoy interactive cooking demos led by Baha Mar’s epicurean talent and guest chefs, new exhibitions from local artisans in partnership with The Current Gallery and Art Center (curated by John Cox, the resort’s executive director of arts and culture) and a dine-around showcasing the best of the region and Baha Mar’s restaurants, bars and cafés. All headlining chefs will host exclusive interactive experiences. The event concludes with an al fresco dining experience with participating chefs and artists on Long Cay, Baha Mar’s private island hideaway.

The Current Gallery and Art Center, the resort's hub for local artistic experiences, aims to recognize and support a strong creative community in Nassau through exhibitions, workshops and discussions. During the festival weekend, the gallery and studio will take guests on a cultural journey showcasing the local artists and their works displayed throughout the property. Attendees will also view local artists creating artwork live, inspired by the event’s happenings and surroundings.

Events of the festival will include Sundown & Sips, hosted by Marcus Samuelsson (exclusive access for weekend pass holders), Welcome Beach Party, Baha Mar Art Tour hosted by John Cox and The Bahamas Culinary & Arts Grand Dine-Around and the Long Cay Luncheon.

Additional curated experiences will be announced, including intimate culinary activities hosted by Baha Mar’s chefs.
