Julie Skinner, VP leisure sales & operations at Vision Travel, announced the addition of three new management positions in Western Canada as part of the group’s continued expansion across the country.
“We’re thrilled to add these leaders to our leisure team to further support our advisors on a local and regional level,” Skinner added.
Vancouver-based Zabeen Kara, regional manager for British Columbia, was most recently Vision’s manager of leisure supplier relations and national sales support.
Prior to her promotion to the role of regional manager for Alberta, Calgary-based Katie Kewley was a manager with Co-op Travel before it was acquired by Vision Travel.
And, responsible for Saskatchewan and Manitoba, Angie Bree will be based in Winnipeg after she assumes her new role on 06JUN. She was most recently a branch manager with CWT.
Stephen Smith, senior vice-president, leisure marketing North America for Direct Travel, which has Vision as its leisure arm for Canada, says the expansion of the management team is a reflection of the ongoing growth of the company.
“We are now seeing our leisure sales volume eclipse our record 2019 levels - something we didn’t anticipate seeing until the fall,” he said. The company is currently undertaking a recruitment campaign and, according to Smith, offers benefits, training and worldwide connections second to none. “We are delighted that so many advisors are choosing to call Vision ‘home’.”
