At the Travel Leaders Network (TLN)'s annual convention, hosted this year at Universal Studios Florida, Canadian travel advisors were recognized for their work during the pandemic.
Victoria, BC’s KVI Travel was presented with the Member Engagement Star Award. This award recognizes an agency that has been a prolific user of TL Network’s sources of support, such as programs, tools and educational offerings. The winner of the award is expected to have leveraged these programs to successfully manage their business. KVI Travel is owned by Kyle Oram.
The Peer-to-Peer Service Award winner was presented to Cruise Holidays of Oakville, located in Oakville, ON. This travel agency was recognized for sharing their time and knowledge with fellow TLN members, TLN management, and the travel industry. Lola Vassiliadis is the owner of Cruise Holidays of Oakville.
Carlton Montaut of Centre Holidays Inc. in Mississauga, ON was the winner of the 2021 President’s Award. The award recognizes someone who embodies the attributes of each of the previous awards. Carlton Montaut was also chosen due to sales success and as a prolific member of TLN.
Martha Chapman recently reported for OpenJaw about the event's media conference, and TLN's perspective that "we're on the other side of hte pandemic," and "back to pre-pandemic strength by 2023."
