Direct Travel recently celebrated their top producers by hosting 25 leisure advisors from across North America with a nine-day trip to Europe including an excursion to Nuremberg complements of A&K, and an Ama Waterways river cruise on the AmaCerto.
“This was our sixth GEM trip and a wonderful opportunity to network with some of our most productive and enthusiastic agents,” says Gerard Bellino, EVP Leisure at Direct Travel. “Not only did the advisors experience some of our wonderful luxury travel product, but also spent time networking with some of our senior management and suppliers.” he added. Forty-two participated in the trip, which included Direct Travel executives, their leadership team and key Direct Travel supplier partners.
Direct Travel’s GEM Recognition program celebrates advisors who focus on driving sales and prioritize service to their clients. “This trip was truly amazing, probably one of the best trips I have been on in 20 years in the travel industry! The Direct Travel team is fantastic and I am lucky to be part of this organization,” says Shanon Roberts, Leisure Branch Supervisor in Vernon, B.C.
“I think it’s safe to say we started the trip as colleagues and truly ended it as friends,” remarked Tami Brown, Direct’s VP of Human Resources. Other Direct executives present included Darryl Hoover, Chief Technology Officer, and Helen Leon, President, USA West region.
