The Travel Agent Next Door (TTAND) was represented at the inaugural Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority Black Pineapple Awards in December.

The event celebrated the top 100 travel agents from markets worldwide, including 25 advisors from Canada.

Three TTAND agents, Melissa Doucet, Sonia Lawrence, and Tari Gibson of Plan It Travel, were among the Canadian honorees.

“We are very proud of our agent partners winning three of the first Black Pineapple Awards,” said Flemming Friisdahl.

“All the support team members at The travel Agent Next Door are so excited to see when our partner agents get recognized for their hard and tireless work. We are so proud of our partners and what they have achieved. To know they are among the best in Canada and north America is amazing!"

The recognition comes amid a surge in Canadian travel to Antigua and Barbuda, with arrivals increasing by 13% last year.
