Ana Santa Maria, global purpose specialist (GPS) for Alberta and the Prairies and Sara Murphy, regional marketing manager for Canada, G Adventures.

G Adventures has announced the appointment of Ana Santa Maria as the Global Purpose Specialist (GPS) for Alberta and the Prairies. Sara Murphy has also been appointed Regional Marketing Manager for Canada, where she will be working on "brand and tourist board opportunities."

Santa Maria, who previously worked for G Adventures in a similar role from 2019 to 2020, returns after a three-year hiatus. She says she's "ecstatic to be back doing what she loves at G Adventures, which is changing people's lives through travel."

Murphy, who worked in advertising before joining G Adventures, is "excited to be marketing real-world experiences and once-in-a-lifetime adventures to agents."

National Sales Manager for G Adventures, Erin Rogers, commented on the new appointments: "Ana and Sara join the team at an exciting time for the business, as travel from Canada shifts beyond pre-pandemic booking numbers."

She added, "Having Ana join us to boost our national sales team means we can now better service our agency partners from coast to coast. Sara is going to be a great support to our team as well, working directly with David Green to help to lead tourism board partnerships and boost our brand awareness in Canada."

Santa Maria said of her new role: "I love connecting with agents from Alberta and the Prairies. I am able to have a direct impact on travel agents' businesses and lives.

"As a former travel agent myself, I take a lot of pride in the impact I can have on their lives. I love this community."

And Sara Murphy said, "The best thing about working for G Adventures is being surrounded by passionate, creative, adventurous, and open-minded people. Everyone at G Adventures brings a new perspective, but we all share the same core values and mission.

"In this role I have the opportunity to market once-in-a-lifetime experiences and real human connections that have a meaningful impact in local communities around the world."
