SOGGY AND FOGGY

Canada’s Winter Weather Mess Continues: Airlines Issue Advisories

Winter weather continues to make a mess of travel plans in various parts of Canada.

Lingering fog and low visibility in Western Canada and the prairies have prompted travel advisories from Porter Airlines for YYC, YEG and YWG.

CTV News reports that Calgary and most of southern Alberta are reporting dense fog and slick roads.

Netnewsledger.com says Winnipeg residents on 07FEB woke up to a fog advisory this morning, “with the weather desk advising of near-zero visibility in certain areas, which is expected to clear as the morning progresses.

Meanwhile, lingering problems after a record snowfall in Cape Breton also could impact air travel.

Air Canada has “weather recovery” advisories out for YYT and YQY, as well as a snow advisory for YXE.
