Nexus

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced on 06FEB the opening of a NEXUS/Free and Secure Trade (FAST) enrolment centre at the Houlton, Maine port of entry.

NEXUS and FAST applicants are now able to schedule an interview at the Houlton enrolment centre ahead of its opening on 10FEB 2023. CBSA and CBP officers will work together to conduct joint interviews.

The centre will be open two days a week, on Fridays and Saturdays, from 9am to 5pm (AST).

Applicants can schedule their interview on the CBP's Trusted Traveler portal.

According to the CBSA and CBP, the opening of the new centre builds on the measures they previously announced to expand the NEXUS program's capacity to enrol applicants, which includes a new interview option for new and renewing NEXUS members at Canadian airports which will be available in Spring 2023.
