It’s a Cajun tradition to "laissez les bon temps rouler” (let the good times roll) and that’s what members of the travel community did on 16JUL at Louisiana’s Libations & Lagniappe Virtual Happy Hour.
Led by Access Marketing's Joanne Scalamonga, Jennifer Berthelot, Director of Communications for Louisiana Tourism, and Billy Nungesser, the Lieutenant Governor of Louisiana, the event featured cocktail-making lessons from talented mixologist Tin Le who blended up three Louisiana-inspired cocktails.
Le, a Vietnamese American born and raised in New Orleans, is the star drink master at several popular speakeasies in Louisiana's capital city: the Hot Tin and the Bayou, both located in the historic Pontchartrain Hotel, as well as the Vintage Rock Club.

Le put his magic to work in a bar overlooking the Mississippi River, first showing us the Sazerac, a famous Louisiana staple invented in the 1800s, followed by the Brandy Alexander, a sweet, creamy blend, and lastly, the perfect boozy alternative to lemonade, the Bee's Knees.

Lieutenant Governor Nungesser was eager to announce Louisiana’s plans for welcoming back visitors by providing masks in museums and other popular attractions, as well as by offering special deals in state parks. Visitors who book three nights at a state park campsite or cabin, for example, will receive the fourth night free.
“Thank you all so much for joining us,” Nungesser said. "I can’t wait to welcome you back. Our doors are always open. We love Canada.”
