Nolitours & Transat Holidays Team
Transat’s seasonal launch lunches leave no doubt that one is “on the town”. Venues are always swishy, food dishy, and the crowd spiffy. Extra points were awarded at this winter’s early unveiling for the attendance of President of Transat Tours Canada, Michael DiLollo. The dashing ex-Air Transat pilot emphasized that the line-up and special offers are a direct result of feedback from agents and consumers.
New to the menu this winter is Nassau. A perennial favourite holiday destination, Nassau with Transat features seven resorts ranging from 3 to 4 ½ stars – with options for 3, 4 or 7 night packages. Also new this year is an early booking Best Price Guarantee whereby if a lower price than the one booked becomes available, the difference is refunded in cash. Early bookers also receive a free upgrade to Option Plus or CanJet Select.
Catering to those with high expectations, Transat has introduced a Luxury Collection offering 8 ‘handpicked’ upscale resorts with concierge or butler service, private transfers and a free air upgrade.
According to Nancy Jackson, Commercial Director for Ontario & Atlantic Canada, Nolitours continues to perform well as the group’s “fighting brand”. Of the 179 Nolitours resorts available, 9 are new and 48 are exclusive.
Both sun brochures are priceless again this year. Apparently the tactic has worked well in driving consumers to retailers for price quotes.
Fresh off the drawing board is an interesting tech innovation for booking groups. Apparently a groups app will be launched shortly, allowing agents to book and quote groups right off their desktop.
