Velas Resorts Introduces New "Floating Feast" Amenity At Select Resorts

Floating trays at Grand Velas Los Cabos.

Velas Resorts has introduced a new amenity at four of its resorts called "Float My Boat" that offers food and drink selections served on floating trays.

At Grand Velas Los Cabos, guests staying in the Governor, Grand Class, Grand Class Corner, Presidential, Royal, and Imperial suites can enjoy a floating breakfast tray. The tray includes a variety of items such as Belgian-style waffles, lobster benedict, souffle with sauteed spinach and mushrooms, pancakes, hash browns, avocado toast, Osetra Caviar, and more. A bottle of Moët & Chandon champagne and various juices accompany the tray. The cost for this exclusive service is USD $300 plus a service charge.

Grand Velas Riviera Maya offers the amenity to suites with plunge pools and includes Imperial Ossetra Caviar with blinis, creme fraiche, and chives, along with appetizers and desserts such as Jamón ibérico, king crab legs, smoked salmon, a selection of cheese, fresh berries, and a chocolate dessert. Champagne Louis Roederer Brut Premier is also included. The price for this service is USD $400 plus a service charge.

Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit offers a three gold flaked margaritas: cucumber and lime, hibiscus and rosemary, and mango and jalapeño. Guests can choose to have their margaritas served frozen or on the rocks, and they come with chips and freshly made guacamole. This amenity is available for guests at the pool in the adults-only area, priced at USD $220 plus a service charge.

At Casa Velas, guests can indulge in a sweet corn tamale topped with caramel popcorn and Mexican caramel sauce, paired with sparkling Mexican wine. This floating tray is available as an after-dinner treat and can be enjoyed in the private pools of the one- and two-bedroom Ambassador and Presidential suites. The price for this amenity is USD $150 plus a service charge
