Playa Hotels & Resorts is adding the Yucatan Resort Playa del Carmen to its roster of managed all-inclusive resorts as it expands its partnership with Hilton and enters the soft branded all-inclusive market. The property is the former Live Aqua Playa del Carmen.
"We look forward to showing more travellers the unique and vibrant flair that our Tapestry Collection hotels are known for, with the tropical beauty of Playa del Carmen as the backdrop,"
said Jenna Hackett, global brand head, Tapestry Collection by Hilton.
Playa first entered a strategic alliance with Hilton in 2018 and currently operates Hilton Rose Hall Resort & Spa in Jamaica, Hilton La Romana all-inclusive resorts in the Dominican Republic and Hilton Playa del Carmen in Mexico.
The adults-only Yucatan Resort Playa del Carmen will be the second Playa-managed Hilton all-inclusive property in Playa del Carmen, along with Panama Jack Resorts Playa del Carmen. Guests of both resorts will have expanded offerings between the two properties.
Slated to open MAY 2021, the Yucatan Resort Playa del Carmen offers 60 guestrooms distributed in a four-storey building, a restaurant, sushi bar, rooftop pool and bar, spa and fitness centre.
The boutique resort is located minutes from the beach on Playa del Carmen's famed Fifth Avenue.
"There is a seismic shift occurring throughout the hospitality industry as consumers look to brands they trust and private owners position investments for the coming post-pandemic boom in travel," said Fernando Mulet, Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer of Playa Hotels & Resorts.
The Yucatan Resort Playa del Carmen will participate in the Hilton Honors guest loyalty program.
